All the little things I loved in 2016

I am always late for this kind of things, but as it’s been a while since the last time I wrote a favorites post, so I thought it was a good idea to present you all the little things (well, almost all of them!) that I loved and enjoyed to use in 2016.

I won’t go in detail of each product because this post would be too long, but please do not hesitate to leave me a comment if you want to know more about one specific product.

First category: Make Up

Oh dear, 2016 was the year of the lippies! So many beautiful colors and new formulas! I got in love with the Liquid Suede line from NYX and the Velvet Collection from Bourjois.

For my eyes, the Peach Palette from Too Faced is just gorgeous, it’s the one I tend go grab when I go on a weekend because I know I will have everything I need! And to complete those killer eyes, the perfect mascara for me is the Better than Sexe waterproof formula, it keeps the eyelashes curl all day long and looks amazing, and I also use a waterproof eyeliner, this one is the Super Liner by L’Oreal, it is super black and the felt tip is very easy to use!

To finish with make up, the combo I used over and over on my face, was the Caudalie Tinted Moisturizer, plus the Bourjois Under Eye Concealer, the Blush by 3 Sleek Palette (Lace 367) and the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder.

Second category: Nails

I won’t be long, only two brands blew my mind last year, one is the oil based formula by L’Oreal and the second one, the super cheap polishes from Nocibé, both brands have great colors and stay on pretty well. Great drugstore polishes!

Third category: Skincare

As you can see, I am being very minimalistic here. One product to clean my face, the Argandia Savon Noir, another one to exfoliate, the Glamglow Youthcleanse, a day cream and a night cream, both from Origins (love the light gel consistency!) and the best make up remover from all times, the DHC Deep Cleansing Oil.

Fourth category: Shower and Hair

Once more, super minimalistic. My favorite shower gel is the Rose Jam from Lush, my favorite shampoo to take off all the build up is Sunday by Bumble and Bumble, and finally, to keep my hair healthy and shiny, I use the Coconut Oil from Ogx.

Fifth category and last one: Random stuff

2016 was also the year of “gold” for me, unfortunately I didn’t become rich, but I loved all accessories gold, specially rings! And  talking about gold things, my favorite perfume was and still is Love by Chloé, yeah, I know, so gold!

And last year I also discovered Lettering, and it quickly became my new favorite hobby. It’s so relaxing, when I am trying to reproduce those lovely designs, my head is empty and quiet, I love the feeling!

Finally, Steal like an Artist by Austin Kleon, is a book that I can’t recommend enough, it is so inspiring, easy to read, I just keep it next to my bed and open it randomly, and I always find a thought that makes me feel inspired! And I also keep the journal close for those times when I have some spare minutes and I want to do something creative. If you have the chance, please, check them out!

Well, that is all, let me know what do you think of my 2016 favorites, and please do not hesitate to share yours with me too! Thank you for your time, and see you soon!
